CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
Building a secure and sustainable future for our partners, employees, and insured clients
OUR CR POLITICS
For GPI Holding, social responsibility means creating a reliable and sustainable future – for our partners, employees, and policyholders.
We believe that insurance is not merely a tool for financial protection; it is one of the fundamental pillars of economic and social progress. Economic development is impossible without a healthy social and ecological environment.
We take responsibility to go beyond legal requirements, acting with foresighted management and sustainable growth to benefit the environment and society. We always act with a long-term perspective, striving to create value today without compromising the possibilities of the future.
Since 2017, GPI Holding has been a member of the UN Global Compact, which means that our operations are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We are actively engaged in global and local initiatives that promote the culture of responsible business.
We aim for GPI Holding to serve as an example of responsible business in Georgia – an organization that creates real value for people, society, and the .

Health Protection
One of GPI Holding’s primary objectives is to ensure that as many members of our society as possible have access to health care services and products. Each year, our company develops and supports initiatives that promote health, disease prevention, mental well-being, and a culture of wellness. We implement programs that make it easier for citizens to access healthcare services both within Georgia and across Europe, provide valuable information, encourage preventive behaviors, and raise public awareness about the importance of health

Sustainability Responsibility
We develop digital products and services that better meet people’s needs and genuinely improve their daily lives. In doing so, we reduce our environmental impact - minimizing paper usage, promoting electronic communication, and fostering a culture of green offices. We are committed to ensuring that all our processes are environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Community Care
We support social, cultural, and educational projects that raise public awareness. We assist Georgian writers and artists in participating in international exhibitions and publishing their works. We collaborate with non-governmental and civil society organizations to achieve common goals. We provide support to vulnerable groups and communities affected by crises

Employee Well-being
For us, employees are the company’s greatest asset. We believe that satisfied and happy employees build successful companies. That is why we strive to create a people-centered, inclusive, equitable, and safe work environment. We offer motivational programs and development initiatives that enable each employee to grow, expand their knowledge, increase their income, and achieve their personal goals.

Women’s Empowerment
We are committed to promoting equal participation and leadership of women in business and society. We strive to create more opportunities for women to advance in their careers and actively engage in decision-making processes.

Ethical Business Practice
For GPI Holding, ethical business practices mean conducting activities based on the principles of transparency, honesty, and fairness. We believe that long-term success is only possible when every decision is guided by ethics, responsibility, and respect for people. We ensure that our operations are open, fair, and fully compliant with the law — in both internal processes and in interactions with customers, partners, and society. Our employees follow a Code of Ethics that defines clear standards for professional conduct, equality, and transparency.
Employment Forum
A Nationwide Employment Program Across Georgia
To address unemployment and strengthen the role of women in the labor market, GPI Holding implemented a large-scale employment project in 2016–2017. The program created employment and career-growth opportunities for approximately 580 people across Georgia, including middle-aged and senior candidates with diverse backgrounds, experience levels, and social statuses.
The employment program was based on a multi-stage selection process with minimal entry requirements, placing primary emphasis on candidates’ motivation. Formal education, prior work experience, and age were not prerequisites. The project included a six-month paid retraining program, designed and delivered by GPI Holding’s in-house specialists from various professional fields. The training focused on developing participants’ general technical skills as well as job-specific competencies.
More than 7,000 individuals applied to the program during 2016–2017. All successful applicants were given the opportunity to complete the first stage of retraining, and a total of 800 candidates completed the full training program. Of those employed, 89% were women, and 60% were over the age of 35. Today, the majority of these employees continue to build successful careers within GPI Holding.
For this large-scale employment initiative focused on women’s empowerment, GPI Holding was awarded a special prize by Vienna Insurance Group, receiving the prestigious Günter Geyer Honorary Award. The project also won a special award in the “Business for Gender Equality” competition organized by the Millennium Challenge Fund.
SME Support Program
Special Business Insurance Offer
In 2017, following the fire at Children’s World market (housing hundreds of small and micro vendors), GPI Holding initiated a social project aimed at supporting the development of vulnerable groups—small and medium-sized entrepreneurs.
The primary objective of the project was to promote insurance as a financial protection mechanism and to encourage entrepreneurs to engage with the insurance system. Within the framework of the program, GPI Holding introduced a special 50% discount on business risk insurance policies, making business protection significantly more accessible for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The integration of SMEs into the insurance system is essential for the sustainable development and resilience of the national economy. The Children’s World fire clearly demonstrated the critical importance of insurance: unexpected incidents can be financially overwhelming not only for small businesses but even for large organizations, potentially forcing them to suspend operations—an outcome that represents a serious shock to the economy.
As part of the project, mobile teams were established by GPI and operated across nearly all locations in the city. These teams met entrepreneurs directly on-site, provided information about the potential risks associated with their business activities, and, where desired, insured business properties immediately.
Hundreds of entrepreneurs benefited from the program. The total amount of claims paid to insured businesses exceeded half a million GEL. Attitudes toward insurance shifted significantly, as evidenced by the fact that policy renewal rates after one year reached nearly 100%.
Protest Through Travel Insurance!
Anti-Occupation Campaign
On the 10th anniversary of the August War Russian invasion, insurance company GPI Holding launched a powerful anti-occupation campaign. On 8 August, a special checkbox appeared in the travel insurance purchase section on the company’s ecommerce website (www.mygpi.ge), allowing users to confirm the statement:
“I confirm that Russia is an occupier and I am ready to spread the word around the world about it.”
Customers who selected the checkbox received a passport holder designed by Giovani Mora, featuring a anti-occupation message, as a gift from GPI Holding.
Addressing users, the company stated:
“Today marks ten years since the August War. Twenty percent of our country remains occupied by Russia. We decided to contribute to spreading this message because we believe that together we can achieve far more. From now on, every time you hand your passport to a border officer when crossing into another country, your passport holder will speak on your behalf. Fighting occupation is also possible through the dissemination of information.”
The anti-occupation campaign was awarded Bronze in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) category at the international advertising festival Ad Black Sea.
Occupation remains one of the most painful and critical issues facing Georgia today. In an environment where Russian propaganda is actively operating both inside the country and internationally, GPI Holding considered it essential to contribute to countering this challenge. The campaign aimed to remind society that resisting occupation is also possible through information awareness, and that every citizen can play a role in this collective effort.
