  • The company commands 55% of the individual health insurance segment

Tbilisi, April 2026. GPI Holding has reaffirmed its position as the leading health insurer in Georgia. According to official 2025 data published by the State Insurance Supervision Service of Georgia, the company holds the largest share of the overall health insurance market at 24%, and maintains an uncontested leadership position in the individual health insurance segment with a 55% market share.

GPI Holding’s dominance is particularly significant in individual health insurance — a result, the company notes, of sustained strategic investment over many years. GPI Holding was among the first insurers in Georgia to develop and bring to market health insurance products designed specifically for individual consumers. The company currently offers two products in this segment: Polisi Medi and GPI Exclusive.

Besik Pestvenidze, Director, Health&Life insurance of GPI Holding, commented: “Expanding access to health insurance and advancing this segment remains one of our foremost strategic priorities. This commitment has enabled GPI Holding to sustain its market leadership for many years, delivering continuously evolving, high-quality services — including digital services and technology-driven solutions tailored to our customers’ needs.

2025 was a landmark year in this regard. Through our partnership with the international platform diagnose.me, GPI clients can now access European medical expertise directly, consulting with European physicians on any health concern and receiving both a diagnosis and a personalised treatment plan. This capability represents a meaningful step forward in the quality of care we provide and further strengthens customer confidence in our services.

In the corporate segment, we launched a rebranded offer under the name Corpo, which sets a new standard for employee benefits in Georgia. Our aim is to offer businesses solutions that respond directly to the clients’ needs — extending beyond medical expense coverage to encompass a broader range of services that actively promote employee well-being and a healthier work environment.”

GPI Holding’s individual health insurance portfolio today serves more than 100,000 policyholders, offering a range of products from accessible entry-level plans to premium options — each designed to meet distinct customer needs.

In the corporate segment, the company completed a comprehensive rebranding campaign, introducing the improved Corpo programme to the market. Built on a modern, employee-centric philosophy, Corpo enables businesses to select flexible packages with a wide range of benefits for their workforce. The programme is designed to support employee health and well-being, contributing in turn to greater organisational productivity and long-term sustainable growth.

Health insurance remains the largest segment of Georgia’s insurance market, accounting for 43% of total premiums written. The segment grew by 16% in 2025, making it the fastest-growing category in the industry. Within this context, GPI Holding’s health insurance portfolio reached GEL 141.3 million, a performance that firmly consolidates the company’s leadership position relative to its competitors.
